Paper

 Paper Project

Description: This is where we had to take a piece of construction paper, lay the construction paper vertically, then put a ruler on the paper and line it up with the edge of the paper. Once that is done, we then cut equal lines of the paper, after that we took a piece of the paper, put it into a circle and glue the edges together. Then you do the same thing with the next piece of paper and connect it to the last circle you just made. We made the head by folding the paper in half and cutting the paper in a rounded form on the side where the paper flaps open. We did the same thing for the tail just made that part into a point. In the end of the gluing, it became a paper snake chain. Then we got to paint with black and white paper to create a design on our snake; my snake is Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Extension Activity: Once students have made their snakes, I then would have them think of the type of snake they want to pretend their project is and then have students draw a picture of what the snake's habitat would look like. After that, the students will provide an answer for each question below the drawing of the habitat and the questions are how the snake would live and what they would eat?
