Van Gogh Project
Description: This is where we made to mimic Van Gogh Starry Night but in our own way. We had to take construction paper and then rip and lay down tissue paper with acrylic glue to keep it down; you could lay the glue before and after you lay the tissue paper down. Once all the tissue paper and glue were dry then you had to come up with a scenery, and I came up with the desert. Within the scenery you could add texture or designs with oil pastels. So, I have wind swirls to match Van Gogh's and then I made spikes on the cactus and cracks in the foundation of the dirt to get the dry feeling of the desert.
Extension Activity: Students can offer a description of their scenery and within that description they will pretend this is a quick scene in a movie to where they have to explain the plot, characters and what may be going on within this scene. After they have explained it all they then will present to the whole class.
