Painting

 Painting Project: 

Description: For this project, we had to draw and paint our version of the sunflowers that were originally painted by Vincent Van Gogh. The first thing we had to do was use a pencil and draw the pot of sunflowers and the table that the vase was sitting on. When we were finished drawing everything, we had to take a Sharpie and go over the pencil marks that we made when we were drawing out the vase. Finally, we were able to paint the sunflowers painting with watercolors and we had to make sure to include at least 3 techniques that they taught us in the lesson. 

Extension Activity: Once the students have made their painting, I then would have them each collect a planter pot, soil, water, and flower seeds. Once they have planted the seeds into the pot I would have them try to grow the flowers at home for a month or more, and have the students document the progress of their plant.
