FOOTPRINT:
Description: The footprint was an introduction activity to the class. In this activity, we had to
have a minimum of three different media like construction paper, magazines, markers, etc.
These media are meant to either describe or explain different things that relate to us as a
person. On my footprint, I had construction paper, part of a card, a marker, a magazine, and a
Hawaiian lei. These medias all helped show a little bit about me.
Extension Activity: An extension activity that could be done with this activity is to have the
students do the same activity, but then in an essay or short paragraph form depending on
grade level, they write and explain what each symbol represents. This would have students
seeing things visually but then turning it into a language arts lesson by having them write.
